Summary
Hobbits had a connection with the earth, they were born with a piece of land in them. Most hobbits’ piece of land is in the shire, or in a nearby area at least. There are quite a few hobbits in the city of Bree and near the Blue Mountains, but those are rare. Some hobbits- the Landless -don’t even find their plot of land at all, so they pick a land of their own to simply take care of.
There is one special hobbit named Bilbo Baggins, nearing his forties, a confirmed bachelor, who is landless.
Poor Mister Baggins.

-----“Frodo will you please just listen my boy?” Bilbo asked -begged- Frodo, but Frodo wouldn’t listen at all, he ignored Bilbo as he stared at the wall. No doubt doing a great impression of his favourite dwarven uncle, who was in fact supposed to be back today.
But again, Thorin is not home yet and Frodo is not happy.
“Is there anything, anything at all my boy that would help you fall asleep?”
Again no answer from Frodo.
“What if I told you about our first meeting? I must tell you there was allot of vanilla ice cream that day.”
Now that got a reaction. Suddenly Frodo was looking at him, his big and round doe-eyes looking at bilbo with such enthusiasm that bilbo had no choice but to do as he said.
“Where should I start? hmmm… I guess the day before we met would be a fine place to start.”

Fate sat on a throne of colourful mist, her long hair floating weightlessly around her. She watched as the merman cried for the girl in his arms, his pain evident in the screams he made and the tears that fell from his eyes. He cared deeply for the girl, unusual since he was a child of the ocean while she was a daughter of the land. Fate took pity on the merman, and granted the last words of the daughter of the land.
The skies cried that day.
The day she left him.
