    Summary

“My panic’s at the ceiling, but I’m face down on the carpet.”
Quivering | Dream Journal | Phobia
    _______

    Tim hates goodbyes.

He should be used to them, should be old enough to accept that sometimes people are going to leave and that sometimes you can do nothing to stop the hole that burns through your chest when they do. The worst part, he thinks, is that once upon a time, he was used to them. He was used to the hollow feeling, used to the resentment, used to the ache.

    Then he met Jason.

    “… this is a good lie… isn’t it?”

    I cried.
    What the heck.
    Very well written.

That moment when you suddenly realise that you don’t really want to be alone… you want your family, friends, someone… ANYONE to hold you through the pain.

But you have no one to call, because all of your bridges were burnt to ashes.
And you have absolutely no one to blame for it other than yourself.
    So you die alone.
    Again.

    Summary

Dick woke up in bed. The wrongness of that took a moment to catch up with him. He’d been on patrol, on a stakeout for a case. Some trafficking ring Jason had been looking into.

    Jason.

Dick sat up, his head spinning. He’d been on a stakeout with Jason, where the fuck was Jason.

Dick and Jason are taken by a guy looking for information. there's a bath tub and cold water and, eventually, cuddling.

I have no words… just don’t make the mistake I just did and read this story with “Lighthouse” by Noah Kahan playing in the background.
Absolutely devastating, I am actually crying right now, what the heck?!? 😓

This story was absolutely perfection. 🥲🧡

    Summary

It felt like a dream. The entire night felt like some sort of trick. An elaborate prank. An illusion. A nightmare. Bruce had half a mind to call Zatanna to look for a spell. Or a curse.

Because, surely this wasn't real. Surely the Joker wasn't dead. Surely Jason hadn't killed him.

Merry Christmas, Jason kills the Joker but it's not about that, not really.

Joker is dead. It doesn’t change anything, really.
    Please don’t call. 🧡

As the author put it; “Jason and Bruce are unstoppable force and immovable object. they can't coexist, there's too much blood and hurt and history. they're not the same as they used to be and it's too late to fix it.”

    11/10.
The story captures the feeling of a broken relationship so perfectly. 🧡
