Summary
“Why are you doing this, Jaylad?” Bruce asks, and Jason’s breath catches in his throat.
(Why? Why does Bruce not stop him now, throw him into Arkham and let the Joker finish him off? Why does Bruce not take Jason into his arms and hold him like night will never break into day and nothing will changed? Why does Jason feel so angry that he takes his knife and carves his name into Gotham, hold its head under water as if to check it will still struggle for life? Why is he still here, haunting Gotham like a restless spirit with unfinished business?)
“Who is man that is not angry?” He finds himself quoting as the Pit demands he take his father’s head as the price of betrayal, that he take his own to satisfy his rage.
Batman stays silent, and Jason sighs. His father has never understood Jason any more than he had understood himself. It’s something they held in common.
“Why is the Joker not dead?” He asks instead, and Batman sighs heavily. This, at least, Batman can understand, or pretend to.

Summary
I.The stalactites keep dripping. You cannot sleep. Those two facts are intertwined, despite the fact you cannot admit it.
You swear you can hear the water collecting itself on the rock, twisting and trickling like a creek does, like the way whispers trickle into ears, insidiously and just loud enough for you to hear. Every time the water drops another centimeter, you can feel the way the ceiling is pulled alongside with it.
You know it will fall, that it will bury you eventually. This place has been a crypt since the moment you, a dead man walking, decided to enter. It’s only a matter of when.

Summary
Tommy didn’t know many things; or perhaps he knew too many, conflicting things like ‘Dream was his friend’ and ‘Put your stuff in the hole, Tommy’’, or ‘Me and you, vs Dream’ and ‘Tommy, you are hereby exiled from L’Manberg’. Tommy’s head spun most of the time, not just now, from what was probably fever. He was starting to figure out that most of the things he thought were true, weren’t.
“He was only here to watch me.”
But, Tommy knew two truths.
1. He was never, ever, going back to Logsteidshire. (Not that there was much remaining; Dream liked to finish things.)
2. Dream was going to kill him for what he did.

Summary
The air was thick with anticipation. Silence hung for just a second, before Tubbo burst out again, eyes heavy with an emotion that Tommy couldn’t even try to decipher. “Then why is it okay when he does it to you!”
“I can’t just abandon him, he’s my brother!” Tommy said defensively. Because he talks and when he’s done I’ve agreed to do something I didn’t want to in the first place, is what he doesn’t say. Because he’s family, he doesn't say. But the biggest part of him, the part that had been screaming this entire time, whispers quietly, so softly that Tommy almost can’t tell that’s what was said. Because it’s me.
And by the way Tubbo flinched at him, he could tell that’s what Tommy had meant the whole time.

Summary
“But I did!” And finally, what had hurt Jack the most finally roared out, the flames burning a dark, angry blue inside of him. It was the same color of his hoodie, and he wondered if it had always been some twisted sign that Jack would be like this from the beginning. “And you never cared!”
And just like how the quickest flames burned the brightest, it was over. Jack drained, shoulders slumping in on themselves. “Nobody did.”
Sometimes, to heal a broken bone correctly, you need to re-break it. The same applies to relationships.

Summary
Reconciliation is a process that takes time. Sometimes not quite as much time as you'd think.
There's an emotional throughline of developing character dynamics over the course of the series, but I've written the vast majority of the stories to be self-contained plot-wise. There's no required reading order if you want to jump around to ones that catch your interest, though I do recommend starting with the first one for background.

Summary
Rubbing his hands over his face, Aang fell against Appa to take comfort in his fluff. “And it’s been a hundred years? That’s- I can’t believe- Wait, then why have you been looking for me, uh, for the Avatar?”
This was a pivotal moment and it needed to be handled with finesse, care, and the truth if there was any hope of Aang agreeing to work with him. Yes, Zuko could do this.
Aang wakes up from the ice and the story starts as we all know it. But instead of a Fire Nation cruiser crashing into Katara and Sokka's village, a small sailing boat lands on their shore. How will Hui the Yangchen Scholar change the coming events?

Summary
A different take on season two that takes place half-way through My Mother, the Fiend and goes AU from there.
With Keith away, Veronica stays at the Neptune Grand, but tensions with Duncan spill over, and Logan’s unexpected support takes her by surprise.
This fic is complete and will be posted regularly.
It is quite dark in places, and contains multiple scenes of violence. I also wanted to explore some of the issues left after season one with Duncan, without vilifying him or making the fic actually about him.
