Summary
There’s a story that begins a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
That story shatters with the sound of running water and a knife slicing through veins.

Or, how an obsessive ghost and equally obsessive monster saved the galaxy.

Summary
Cersei Lannister is a hateful person, and that will never not be true.
Vain and cruel and mad; you cannot take any of these traits away and still have Cersei by the end of it. The hatred is the axis upon which she spins, the core of her being, the purpose of her existence.
Her hatred, and her love.
There’s not as much of a difference between the two as most would think.
Both are a terrible, wretched thing to endure, because Cersei Lannister is a terrible, wretched thing to be endured.
(She is not Lady Cersei Lannister.
She is Serena Lancaster, and she is dead, and she is filled with a hatred eating her alive.)

Or, in which someone else is Cersei, which changes everything and nothing.

Summary
Beth is eight years old and watching Scooby-Doo reruns with her little brother when she remembers that she died. Blood and twisted metal swim in her vision as the screen goes to static, and Jonathan’s too busy whining at the screen to notice the way she stops breathing.
Eventually, she lays down on the brown carpet and goes back to watching cartoons.(Jonathan is her little brother, and it’s her job to look after him while Mom watches Will.
Jonathan is six, and Beth is eight, and Beth is nineteen and dead.
She figures she can break down later, when he’s not there to see it.)

Summary
It’s always the pearls, isn’t it? Such good imagery, for this nightmare. Suspended in midair as a mother and father die and a hero is born.
But there are no heroes.
There is Charlotte, with a knife at her throat.
There is Bruce, standing still, stunned and shaking.
There is Thomas and Martha Wayne, dead on the concrete.
(The man, the one holding the knife to her throat, is shaking. Charlotte isn’t. She’s seen this before. He is shaking, his grip on the knife looser than it should be.
I can get away if I’m fast, Charlotte Wayne thinks, and tense to make a break for it-
The blade burns as it drags across her throat.
It feels like dying.
It feels familiar.)

Summary
In another life, three of Vinsmoke Sora’s four sons would be born silent.
Only the third would come into this world, screaming for comfort in this strange world apart from his mother’s comfort.
Only Sanji would have his parents’ blonde hair.
(In this life, much like the other one, Vinsmoke Niji is born silent.
But in this life, very different from the other one, Niji does not stay silent for long. By the time Niji’s little brother is born, he is screaming loud enough to bring the castle down.
His hair, what little curls of it he has, is a patchy mess of blue and yellow.)
-:-
Or, what if Sanji wasn't the only son Sora managed to save?

Summary
"Are you a ghost or something?” He sounds way too excited about that, but that's not surprising. They smile at him. Their cheeks ache. Their eyes burn. They can still feel their skull cracking open, if they focus hard enough.
“Yeah, I guess!” Smiling, smiling, smiling. The curve of their cheeks fills their voice with something false. “Or, wait, maybe I’m closer to a zombie, actually? Since I have a body, and all.”
“Do you poop, then?”
“Not sure? I mean, this dying thing is pretty new. I haven’t tested it out yet.”
He nods, sagely. “It’s a mystery, then. Hey, do you want to join my crew?”
Smiling, smiling, smiling. His eyes are dark as they track the shape of it. They wonder if he can see the way it trembles. “Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first? Kinda rude to just up and proposition a stranger like that.”
They already know what he’s going to say.
They’ve known what he was going to say since they woke up and saw the hat.
(That doesn’t mean that it hurts any less to hear. That doesn’t make it any less beautiful.)
“I’m Monkey D. Luffy, and I’m gonna be King of the Pirates!”

Summary
It’s really never a good time to become abruptly aware of the genre you’re in.
Especially when you’re slated to become a major antagonist in a shounen manga.
Envy is suddenly, terribly, horribly aware of the ink and paper their reality was born from. Of the tropes and the hand of the author and the storytelling concepts of a universe theirs was created to entertain. Of the fact that they have seen passed the fourth wall, and they distinctly did not like what they saw there. Envy knows the future in the shape of animation cells and manga panels and information from a universe they were never meant to be aware of, and they are fairly certain it’s already started to crack their sanity.
(They know how the story ends.
They know how their story ends.
Tears and dust and everything they have ever existed for rendered meaningless. Humiliated and laid bare before beings that should’ve been beneath them, that should’ve lost by all rights, that would’ve lost if the nature of stories didn’t demand victory from the protagonists.
Well, fuck that.)
-:-
Or, Envy becomes aware that they're in a manga and decides to tell canon can go fuck itself by becoming a good guy.

Summary
There are thousands of universes with millions of outcomes, happening simultaneously in time. Scattered across reality, as distant as stars, or conjoined together like bubbles in the bath. They diverge and overlap, dancing together and away. Existing, chaotic and tangled, but existing all the same.
(And that is the most important thing.
That they exist.
That somewhere, even if you can’t see it and even if you will never see it, things are better.
Oh, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.)
A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Obi-wan Kenobi and Qui-gon Jinn are on a mission in the Outer Rim. Someone is stealing Force Sensitive children, and recently, they have stolen a child who was meant to be sent to the Temple. In another universe, that child is not found.
(Good thing there are so very many different universes, isn’t it?)
-:-
In which a child is found, a family is made, and the galaxy is saved.

Summary
The boy is grinning at them, the wide shape of it making the scar under his eye more pronounced as he settles his too big straw hat on his head. His shirt is familiar, dark blue with 56 in white across the front. The boy is familiar, because-
“I’m Monkey D. Luffy!” he announces, voice high and squeaky and raspy. “I’m going to become King of the Pirates! What’s your name?”
“Nice to meet you, kiddo,” punches out of their lungs, painful and wet. “I’m-”
And then, they start sobbing.

Or, in a world where Zombie gets yote into One Piece ten years early, and ten years younger than they’re supposed be.

Uzumaki Shiori is born to high waters and fierce winds, to the love of her parents and the safety of Uzushio.
(Uzumaki Shiori is born dead.
Her mother starts sobbing.
Her father forces her heart to beat.
She wakes up with another woman’s memories locked away in her fragile brain, and years down the line, when she remembers this night, she’ll try her best not to resent him for it.)

The boy’s hair is red.
Red, like the sunsets and cherries. Doffy would probably say it was red like blood, but Roci thinks it’s too pretty to compare it to something so gross and scary. It looks soft, bouncing as he grabs grass and flowers out of glass jars, putting them in a bowl.-:-

Summary
Have you heard of Schrödinger's cat?
Cassandra Stark is a little like that cat, alive and dead in a green box.
The thing is, the outcome is entirely dependent on what opens the box.
The Time Stone is tired of being crushed by mad titans and sitting inert in drawers.
It opens that Green Box for the first time.
