Summary
Mondstadt City — otherwise known as the City of Freedom. Cobblestone streets wound between windmills and the red-roofed shops of the Market District, while at its heart, the Crown of the North remained as lively as ever. Merchants haggled over the price of goods, and the sweet aroma drifting from the flower shop carried past Knights of Favonius guards standing at their posts (far too lazily for Lohen’s liking).
Life, he thought, carried on the way it always did, even when circumstances changed. Reuniting with his homeland should have put him at ease; the expedition had been a treacherous journey, after all. He almost hadn’t made it back alive.
And yet, home wasn’t the same. No, it would never be.
Not without Adorno.

Summary
It was all coming back to him now, though the details of his fall were still blurry and scattered. The tree had been growing on the edge of the cliff above Wyrmrest Valley, so he must have tumbled halfway down the mountain. If he’d hit his head, it made sense that his short term memory might be affected.
More pressing than that, however, was his current situation. Albedo could see shards of icy blue sky though the dark fingers of bare tree branches, which implied that he had survived the fall and was laying somewhere at the bottom of the mountain. However, he couldn’t feel his body at all, and attempting to move in order to get a better look at himself only resulted in an odd, empty sensation, like tugging on a loose rope. Left without another option, he continued to stare at the fragmented sky.
