Three years ago, Leaf, the Champion of the Indigo League, suddenly resigned and disappeared from the public eye without words of where she would be going--and Blue Oak is struggling with it more than he wants to admit.
Blue has settled comfortably into his role as the Viridian Gym leader, but his memories of the past and the words left unsaid haunt him...and it only gets worse when Leaf unexpectedly reappears to participate in a doubles battle tournament partnered with her close friend.
Blue decides to also enter the tournament to fight her for old times' sake, accompanied by his overly eager assistant. But as they're forced to confront the feelings they had--and may still have--for each other, Blue realizes that the most intense battles aren't always on the battlefield.

Uzi thought everything would be fixed once she killed Cyn, that everything would go back to normal. She had no idea how messed up her “normal” was until it was pointed out.
N thought everything would be okay, he has Uzi and V by his side and Cyn is gone and can’t hurt them anymore, but V’s often times missing from the Outpost, he misses Cyn more then he thought, and the exhaustion in his systems it getting harder to hide.
Thad thought everything would be better, once he helped ‘Zi and N-and-M's take down the evil villain, that’s how it went in movies after all! But he’s faced with deaths and pain, and it’s all he can do to keep together these depending on him.
Lizzy thought everything would be fine after the stupid planet put itself back together, she could go back to her usual life and all that, but faced with Doll’s death and new injuries both mental and physical, it’s all she can do to avoid crumbling.
It’s easy to tell someone to heal, it’s harder to L E A R N how to Heal.
So please…….. teach me how to heal.
