Rumi saw such tenderness in Mira's eyes for the first time.
She barely registered the hand on her shoulder.
"You don't have to hide from us anymore, your markings are beautiful, you are beautiful. Every part of you."
Mira's eyes shifted down. It was a barely noticeable, subtle twitch of her eyebrows. Her mark of nervousness or surprise.
"This is something new."
Rumi didn't know what she meant until she pointed to her hands. She looked at them; a soft glow slowly grew up her arms until it encompassed all the markings. It was strange. The only times they glowed were during the fight with Gwi-Ma and when Jinu... No. No, no no no no no no no no.
