Summary
Dick Grayson's parents were killed, and he was left in a strange place with mean people and no home. After being tossed from foster home to foster home and growing up in the least desirable parts of Gotham City, he decides to make a difference. Robin is a thief who steals from those who have more money than they know what to do with and gives to the ones like himself, the ones with nothing. However, that is just skimming the surface of his story.

Summary
Clark thought taking Lois on a date to Haley’s Circus during its Gotham stop would be charming. Gotham, famously, disagreed.
The one moment he steps outside to take a quick call from Perry, tragedy strikes. The little acrobat they'd met before the show is suddenly orphaned, and Clark is drowning in guilt. Then Bruce Wayne strolls in demanding custody.
Clark’s made questionable choices tonight, sure — but handing Dick Grayson over to Gotham’s most emotionally constipated billionaire will not be one of them.
