“Felix?” Hyunjin’s face falls, telling Felix that he’s doing a bad job of hiding how he feels. This is the moment, the moment he blurts it out. But he can’t think of anything but the rose petals on the bed and the expectations that come along with it, and it feels impossible to tell Hyunjin how he feels.
“This is the part where I make up some stupid excuse, right?” Felix attempts to joke, but there’s no humour in his voice. It would be a lot easier if he has said something right away, like a disclaimer before Hyunjin decided to commit, but it’s too late for that now. They are four months in, and he has waited too long, made it too hard to say something.
“Or you could tell me the truth.” Hyunjin says, looking deep into Felix’s eyes. He knows that there’s something Felix needs to say, of course he does.--
Or: Felix struggles with coming out to Hyunjin as asexual

Summary
“Shit, sorry, didn’t realise someone else was here!”
Framed in the door of Cass’ ballet studio is Jason, wet hair dripping and dressed in sweats and a t-shirt – just back from patrol, then. His shoulders are tight, indicating tension, embarrassment, but his posture is half tilted towards the room, as if he were… longing, perhaps.
Cass looks at him, at his large shoulders, appraising. She cannot perform the pas de deux on her own, and she would like to practise. Perhaps…
She lifts a hand, indicating the room. “You want to dance? I need…” she pauses, struggling. “I need… partner.”
Jason moves closer so he can see the video, too, and the emotions move through his body so quick that Cass can barely parse their meaning; grief, anger, embarrassment, love… longing. Always the longing.
“You know this?” she asks, waving to the video. He nods slowly, still watching the dancers.
Or: Cass didn't know that Jason once did ballet; she's just happy to have a partner. Alfred, on the other hand, is just about ready to cry with happiness over the fact that Jason's dancing again.
