That's how he wished it had happened. Oh, to only be a single father on the run from the law; what a wonderful world it would be if that were the only thing that had gone wrong in his life.
But Tim had long since learned his lesson; good things simply didn't happen to him. Why else would there be so much blood on his hands?

Summary
Hermione Granger lost the love of her life during the Battle of Hogwarts and she doesn't know how to move forward. Months later, Shacklebolt reveals a law forcing all those born between 1978-1981 to be married within a year.
Still not wanting to move on, she decides to accept Draco Malfoy's proposal with the intent that both get to live their separate lives.
However, as time goes on and the Wizarding world is still recovering, things happen and Hermione and Draco have no choice but to pick up the pieces and put themselves back together so they can get through this. Preferably alive.
