Summary
After the practice date went so well--admittedly with some hiccups--you have the brilliant idea that many more things adjacent to relationships could be done better with practice. Since Cove Holden is your best friend, he's a natural choice to practice with. You sway him with your airtight facts and logic, and spend the next five years practicing almost everything to do with dating--so that you won't screw up with the first person you actually want to date. Naturally.
After a while, though, it becomes pretty difficult to disentangle feelings of true platonic friendship and... Something else. Especially when you're getting so adept at practicing kissing.
Starts in Step 2 with the main character at Fond/Direct. Continues in Step 3 with the main character at... Well, it's a bit confusing at that point, isn't it?
It takes place after the Soiree DLC, but I think enough context is given within the story to enjoy it without having bought it. The main character only gets referred to once with "they" pronouns, but otherwise is left ambiguous. The only physical description for them is that they're shorter than Cove.
