By the end of the second episode Peter is struggling to keep his eyes open.

Help is backed up. They’re having trouble finding the location, the signal isn’t great, and there’s an estimated hour or so while they do a full sweep of the area. There’s too much rubble outside to get Bakugou out safely. The storm of desperation’s receded, but up until now there’s been adrenaline holding off the hurt, and now Izuku’s breathing small and shallow, limbs like lead and aching all over and he’s really fucked up his ankle. Bakugou’s been fading in and out of consciousness, and Izuku wishes he had more to give than a couple lukewarm bottles of water and a half smile.
See, the problem is when he starts talking again. Because Izuku realizes there must be something in that dissipating cloud of mist that’s making him talk too.

So this whole truth serum thing goes how Izuku expects it to, until it doesn't.
