Wei Ying groans and buries her nose against Lan Zhan's armpit, pressing up close. She's pretty sure she's leaving a wet spot on Lan Zhan's thigh. "I dunno," she mumbles. "I'm…nervous."
"That's understandable," Lan Zhan says without a trace of judgment. Wei Ying loves that Lan Zhan never ever judges her, no matter what she does—or doesn't do. "It's a big thing, coming out."

Vi misses Caitlyn’s hand when she steps away. She follows the phantom push until she’s completed the sequence.
Tilting her head, Caitlyn says, “Better, but you’re stiff. Do you feel sexy?”
Vi’s been surrounded by gorgeous women every day, women with bouncier hair, longer legs, more graceful relevés. And instead of admiring them, she’s competing with them. So, no. Vi does not feel sexy.
