    Bruce finds out that a rival company plans to release a toy line of the Justice League. Said rival company is named LexCorp and a humanitarian's worst nightmare and there’s no way he will let the League be attached to people as abhorrent as that. So he quickly has all the superhero names trademarked. The problem? Now he actually has to use the JL and its assorted heroes in commerce somehow or risk losing the trademark. Hence, Wayne Enterprises launching a toy line.

    Which would be totally fine if the Justice League actually knew that Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person... As it is, they're not pleased that this bimbo billionaire is profiting off of them. They demand to get a say in the matter (also, why is the Superman action figure arguably the hottest piece of plastic ever seen, what the fuck?).

    Inspired by the following Tumblr post:

    So I’ve read fics where the Justice League assumes Batman and Nightwing are dating, but what about where SuperBat are a known couple and the Justice League believes Nightwing is trying to be a home-wrecker?
    Picture Dick just trying to go for a hug from his father because he had a very rough day but instead people keep trying to get between him and Bruce. So he goes for the next best thing… a hug from his favourite hero Superman which also goes wrong.
    League members thinking Nightwing might be asking for a threesome (which already went horribly wrong the last time another JL member asked—SuperBat was furious and talked about their monogamous closed relationship) and they’re trying so hard to prevent another fight between SuperBat and the Justice League.
    Nightwing, Batman, and Superman have no clue what’s going on / why the JL is acting so odd.

    "Father, why did Superman call you babygirl?"
    His father stopped mid-belt-fastening. Richard chuckled from the backseat and swore he'd said "he got you, old man."

    He frowned at the disrespect, but his father showed no sign of hearing. In fact, he didn't seem very present.

    He spoke again, "Father, I asked..."

    "I heard you," his father said, interrupting him, his cheeks slightly red, probably from the heat of the evening's patrol. "You...when did you hear us talking?"

    "Before the car arrived. You were murmuring among yourselves. The alien was unusually close, way too close," he said, pouting, not understanding why he felt this way. "And he muttered things. Babygirl is the only thing I understood. So, what it means? It's an insult?"

     

    (Bruce regrets all his life choices, while Dick is just enjoying his father's humiliation.)
