It turns out Davy Jones’ locker is less of an actual locker, and more of a shipwrecked frigate at the bottom of the ocean, preserved inside an air pocket the size of a volcano. And Davy Jones himself is not the fiery eyed, smoke wreathed monster of legend, but a normal looking man. Something of a dandy, even, for a pirate. Hair and beard neatly trimmed, shot through with streaks of grey, cream-coloured waistcoat and breeches in the modern fashion, and a carved bone pipe that he sucks on thoughtfully before saying, “What the fuck’s a Stede Bonnet?”

It is commonly thought that when Lucifer and his followers were cast out of heaven, that this was rather the end of the whole thing, and everyone could get back to what they were supposed to be doing, such as praying, rejoicing in the glory of the Almighty, guarding trees, and so forth.
But in actuality, although it doesn’t appear in the Bible, and has, by all accounts, been rather hushed up by all parties concerned, there was one more angel who fell from grace. Not for his part in the Great Rebellion (violence, on the whole, made him feel slightly queasy, and he’d managed to be somewhere else on the day itself), but for his flagrant disobedience in following one of Her earliest commands.
In short, he gave away a sword.

Summary
They’re in the wake of February and the freezing desert air sweeps past the black windows that bow their eyes and graciously cover up their secrets for them. The second and last time that they’ll do this, the very last time, the very last time for sure, the windows turn away, the curtains fold in, the covers fold back in wait for their entangled bodies. It’s all very kind. A kindness that neither of them deserve. Least of all Jerma.

Summary
Ludwig is having a hard time taking in the nurse’s appearance. That’s part of why he’s sure about the prank thing. The nurse is short, tinier than Ludwig himself, with stunning, sparkling blue eyes and copper hair. His uniform is a little too snug around him and it’s oddly frilly, decidedly feminine, too cutesy. It’s not very professional. His socks are crumpled and uneven and his shoes, a pair of shiny kitten heels, are scuffed and dirty. His gloves are worn and there’s a hole in one of the seams. There’s a dark stain on his chest and Ludwig isn’t sure if it’s more or less reassuring if that stain is dried blood.
In short, the nurse looks insane and Ludwig does not believe he’s a real nurse. This is definitely a joke.
