Summary
Now, Steve is glad he’s not dead, don’t get him wrong.
But holy shit, does it feel like he should be.
It sounds like he should be, listening to the doctor rattle off his list of injuries and the care necessary to prevent complications. Cracked orbital bone, broken nose, concussion, broken rib – it really sells the story that he’d been hit with falling rubble during the fire, because how else would someone accumulate that many injuries? Interrogation and torture?
Don’t be silly.

Summary
Working with Steve Harrington is… not what Robin had expected.
It’s abundantly clear that he doesn’t want to be here (join the club, buddy), but it isn’t half as difficult to get him to do things as Robin had thought it would be.
Honestly, she’d been expecting a spoiled rich kid: someone who had no idea how to do the kind of labor involved in a minimum wage job. Instead, she’s (almost pleasantly) surprised to find that when the time comes, he actually buckles down and works. He scoops ice cream, he restocks, he cleans, he takes on customers with a smile that could actually pass as real – he does his job.
The surprises don’t end there.
-
Robin learns a number of surprising things about Steve Harrington over the summer of 1985. She's not even sure the fact that he's had numerous brushes with another dimension takes the top spotSeries

Summary
“You’re not allowed to laugh,” Steve’s voice comes through the door.
“The fact that you’re making that a stipulation makes me think I wouldn’t be able to keep that promise,” Eddie calls back from the couch, where he’s been waiting for Steve to emerge from the bedroom for the last fifteen minutes. “But I promise if I do laugh, it’ll be with love.”

Steve lands a job. The job comes with a uniform. Eddie tries to be supportive, he really does, but he gets distracted for a number of reasons.Series

Summary
School dances are for chumps.
If there’s a bigger symbol of the high school popularity contest, Eddie has yet to see it. The whole thing smacks of privilege and self-importance, everyone shoveling money into the corporate machine in order to have the flashiest suit or fanciest dress, to have the limo and dinner at the best restaurant in town, only to go stand in the school gym and writhe to the beat of the world’s blandest music in a sweaty crowd of people you don’t even like, every last one of you screaming in vain, “notice me, notice me!”
It's fucking ridiculous.
“And don’t even get me started on flowers,” Eddie huffs, jamming another fry into his mouth.
-
Eddie does not hold school dances in high regard. He is reminded, however, that not everyone feels the same way - that Steve, in particular, does not feel the same waySeries
