It isn't Argis place to question what his Thane does and doesn't do. His job is to protect and serve, and that he does. “That’s it,” Cynric whispers to no one in particular when Marcurio’s jaw goes slack and fucks the spot with increasing pace, free hand buried into Marcurio’s luscious thigh. “You’re so fucking pretty.”
Marcurio tries to say something, probably an insult, but Cynric doesn’t let him catch his breath. No, he wants his glorious man and his rattling mind to melt into a pool of pleasure, to make him moan loud enough the marketplace will hear him, and to snap him out of that constant need of control.
Which is why he slows down to barely half the pace.
“Cynric!” Marcurio scolds, breathless and dizzy, his body trembling with all that need he’s had to push aside for most of his life, denying himself the pleasure of a man in order to mold into his parent’s ideal. With Cynric's one hand between Marcurio's legs and the other entangled in his hair, this definitely isn't a good time to cook. However, to stop Cynric from leaving the couch and their very intimate situation, Marcurio has to take charge.
