Being abandoned repeatedly meant that you ultimately recognized the shape of it before it arrived. You discovered how it snuck in between your ribs before you could prepare for it. You eventually stopped waiting for its pressing weight and began preparing for the aftermath, for the darkness to devour you whole, for the void inside to grow so large that it threatened to consume everything.
And no matter how many times it happened, it still hurt like hell.

For as long as he could remember, Sakura Haruka was a monster.
