Summary
When I was lying there in the VA hospital, with a big hole blown through the middle of my life, I started having these dreams of flying.
Oscar blinks owlishly as he floats to consciousness, the surroundings in his cryo pod slowly focusing. Being in cryo was an interesting thing, you don’t dream at all. Never able to tell if time is passing. His pod is small, like that of a mortuary cooler. He can feel the harness straps pressing into him, the lack of gravity leaving his body itching to float around.
Sooner or later though, you always have to wake up...
