Things with Akarsha, well they’ve been basically the status quo. They spent their sophomore and junior years as friends, which is clearly all Akarsha wants them to be. All the flirting, all the teasing, those are just jokes. She isn’t serious and that’s been apparent from the start. Even so, Noelle craves Akarsha's attention. She loves when Akarsha makes a funny joke without actually trying, the way she smiles when she aces a test that she studied hard for, and the way she actually looks out for her friends while trying to act aloof. It makes her hopeful for something… more.
