Summary
Noctis was the young and upcoming god of the Sun. He was meant to be the bright and shining star for all of the gods and goddesses. The only issue was that his hair was as dark as night. It was not what you’d expect from a sun god, but no one truly knew why his hair was that way. He still had all his other powers, so he never really cared too much.
Prompto is the young god of the Moon, but there was something unique about him. Rather than having hair that reflected the light colors of the moon, his hair was golden like the sun. He never really gave it much question, though, he knew that he was born during a solar eclipse.
Then came a grand gala for all gods and goddesses, and for the first time ever, Prompto and Noctis met face to face.

The fire burned low. With dinner long since finished and the glow of the campsite’s protective barrier casting a soft blue over them, Gladio didn’t bother to feed any more wood into the flames. There was no need - the night was warm and balmy. Noct and Prompto were huddled into each other across from him, shoulders pressed together as they scrolled through something on Noct’s phone. The little screen lit their faces with a light that felt harsh compared to that of the wards. Ignis was finishing up what little cleanup their dinner required.
It was peaceful and familiar. Until Gladio broke the silence.
“Too bad we had to stop here…”

Well, if that was her idea of enticing conversation, it was no wonder she had all those evenings free to chase after scoundrels like him. Still, Astarion didn’t want to antagonize her further and ruin the game, so he pursed his lips and guessed, “A very large, well-placed cannon?”
“Tax fraud.”
She looked at him as if she expected some sort of reaction – maybe a dramatic gasp? A palm flung to his forehead in a theatrical rendition of How could I not think of this?
Everything he could muster was a blink. “Tax … fraud.”
She nodded, obviously excited about what Astarion was sure were two of the most boring words in the English language, combined.

Summary
For years, Ignis has known he was in love with Noct. Naturally, he's never acted upon it, and carefully conceals his feelings from the prince. Such fraternization would be improper and a violation of his oath.
But after Prompto enters Noct's life, a jealous Ignis confesses everything to Gladio in a moment of weakness. And now he has to live with the consequences - during Prompto's Crownsguard training, the peace treaty, the road trip, and beyond.
