Summary
Shinobu Kocho thought that she wouldn’t see Tomioka until their next joint mission or a pillar meeting. The taciturn swordsman would leave almost immediately once they ended, so one had to wonder what he was in such a rush to get to.
And apparently it was to get arrested, Shinobu mused, as she saw her fellow pillar being led away by the police, his hands bound.
Had this been the first time she had found Tomioka arrested, she may have believed this to be a misunderstanding, but this was the second time she encountered him like this. He could have easily escaped them if he wanted to, hell he could escape now if he really needed, so she could only conclude that he must actually enjoy getting captured by police.
But she supposed everyone had their hobbies.

Summary
No one knows how, but it somehow became a tradition. Whenever a new pillar inhabited the water estate, they’d add a new edition to the garden. These came in a wide variety, ranging from large floral bushes, to carnivorous plants, to simple garden decor. At midnight, when the moon was high at the sky's peak, they wrote in the abandoned journal of the very first water pillar, detailing what they added, why, and how to take care of it.
Tomioka Giyuu never took part in the tradition, but he did add a peach tree in a small grass clearing of the garden.

“You're just not very clear when talking is all. Did you ever realize that all the other Hashira thought you acted like you were better then them all?”
Giyuu’s mind went blank as he stared at Tanjiro, not processing what he was saying at all.

Giyuu discusses something with Tanjiro after the final fight with Muzan, which causes him to buy ohagi for Sanemi.
