“It's an egg.” Ironeye corrected. Even though yes, he suspected he knew what was in it. Wylder was holding it next to him, visibly pleased at the very thought of it. Ironeye could practically see the hearts around his head. “And…yes. We woke up to it in…our bed.”
Recluse was looking at him with clear disdain. “You would go through a lady's personal effects? Especially not knowing what they are?”
The witch turned to Duchess before Ironeye could come up with an excuse. Duchess had her hands clasped together excitedly. “I'm going to be an aunt!”
Guardian, who had been silently watching the exchange, finally spoke up. “But…why an egg?”

Buck stands up from the bed and stumbles back a couple of steps. This can't be happening. It´s white noise in his ears and the room is spinning, panic clawing at his chest. He closes his eyes for a second and takes a deep breath, he doesn't have time for this. He needs to call the police. He quickly pulls up his phone and dials.
“9-1-1, what is your emergency?”
“This is firefighter Evan Buckley with station 118, badge number 3671. I need to report a possible kidnapping of a child at 6957 Cantaloupe Ave.” He swallows loudly. “The child's name is Christopher Diaz.”

It’s just like he told Angela: the thoughts take up too much space. He’s staring at the coffee maker, but in his head he can see Hana smiling and Angela pushing a lock of hair behind her ear and Baptiste flashing his dimples when he laughs. He can hear Winston’s noisy chewing. He can hear a song again, one he can’t place.
He leans his weight on his hands, fatigued by the onslaught of information. While he’s clenching his jaw and watching the steady drip of coffee into the carafe, he thinks of someone’s ass, fingers pressing into the meat of it. His face is already hot enough before he processes what that ass is wearing: jeans, light wash, with fraying on the back pockets, a brown leather belt in the loops, a red plaid shirt tucked into the waist.
It’s his ass. It’s his ass, and he’s not thinking of it like someone’s doing it to him — or he wasn’t, before now — but like he’s the one doing it, like it’s someone else’s point of view, someone else’s fantasy. What the hell?

Hanzo really didn’t ask for any of the kindness he's receiving from McCree, but he’s finding that he isn’t exactly opposed to the attention he’s getting from the farmer who so kindly is trying to help him survive his vampiric infancy. Even if he doesn’t love the smell of the cows, and he feels like he can’t go back home, it’s better than being left with the people who turned him.

A story composed of three sections, all mingling in various ways.
Making Ends Meet: Naib is still grieving the death of his husband a year after it happened. He's a single parent with no one to turn to or rely on, and to make matters worse he has to work with Eli for the district-wide science fair. Eli wants to help, but sometimes it seems like all he does is make matters worse.
When All is Said and Done: Aesop and Norton have been divorced for a few years now. The kids have adjusted, but Mike (Norton's boyfriend) has not. Mike and Aesop seem to constantly be fighting for the children's affection. Could a slip up bar Aesop from their lives forever? Not if Norton has anything to say about it. How do adults handle their feelings again? Bribery sounds about right.
Father Knows Best: The priest who employs Andrew is in debt to the mafia. Victor is in the mafia. Their children are a grade apart, and Victor has a crush. Victor is tasked with burning down the one place Andrew and his child have ever been able to call home. You must obey your Father. Or else.
