Caitlyn raises her head up, only for the weight of her gaze to land on the hospital bed in front of her. There are about a million tubes sticking out of her. Caitlyn can’t even properly see her, the dotted thin hospital gown covering every part of her, except for the hair and her face.
Caitlyn’s eyes travel to the ones belonging to the figure on the bed, begging for them to open, pleading for them to meet her eyes just once more. But of course. They don’t.

so cait and vi are having major marriage issues, and then something horrible happens, which brings caitlyn to consider her issues and mistakes.

When a mysterious vigilante enters the scene, causing issues for both groups, an uneasiness falls over the city. It becomes a race to figure out what this vigilante is up and to stop Silco from taking over the city.
And yet, fate ever remains a curious creature...

Vi loves her job. She didn't think she would. When she started, she did it for the money. It was too good to turn down. At the time, Vi was working multiple temp jobs and bartending. When Councilor Cassandra Kiramman offered her the job as her personal assistant, Vi couldn't say no to the paycheck. She thought the Councilor would be overbearing, and she would feel as if she had sold her soul. The hours were long and the schedule chaotic, but the Councilor was friendly and understanding. The Councilor was trying to do good for Zaun and would even ask Vi for her opinion. The more Vi worked for her, the more Vi enjoyed herself.
The only thing truly hard about her job was Vi's crush on the Councilor's daughter, Caitlyn Kiramman. It was fine when Caitlyn lived with her wife and child, but then the fallout and divorce happened. Caitlyn moved them closer so her parents could help, and slowly, they became part of Vi's job. Vi keeps things professional, but that doesn't stop her heart from fluttering whenever she sees Caitlyn.
Or Vi fakes dates Caitlyn because she loves to help, but can she keep her feeling in check

Summary

Caitlyn Kiramman is focused on finishing up her law degree at Piltover University. That leaves very little time for anything else - including relationships. Her best friend, Jayce, decides its times to remedy that or at least try to. Never did Caitlyn expect to have fun at a club let alone meet someone.
Vi is focused on getting enough money to send her sister to university and for her old man to retire. That does not leave much time for anything else, but she makes time to spend her nights at the club her family - Powder, Ekko, Claggor and Mylo - enjoy going to. Never did Vi expect to be so enamored with a woman that was out of her league.
Happily ever after? Maybe it does exist.

Discrimination against Hybrids is nothing new in Piltover. Hybrids are often treated as lesser creatures that are kept as pets or used as cheap labor. In some cases, Hybrids are even considered to be dangerous and put down if they are deemed to be Feral.
That is how Caitlyn meets Vi, a Feral Hybrid who has spent the last seven years of her life locked away in solitary confinement until she's lost her ability to speak. Rather than let Vi be executed, Caitlyn decides to adopt her in an effort to rehabilitate her. However, as they spend more time together, Caitlyn finds herself slowly falling into a forbidden love with the Hybrid.

Vi looks at the big clock on the far wall. 7:46AM. She’s one minute late today. Every morning for the past six months - well, every morning Vi’s been on shift, so she’s just assuming about the other days - she’s passed by at exactly 7:45AM, always at a brisk walk, always in a perfectly-tailored suit, not a single long, silky-looking hair out of place.
7:47AM. The crisp clack of heeled boots on concrete pulls Vi out of her musings. There must have been some sort of emergency, because the subject of Vi’s (minor) obsession walks past the fire station at a faster clip than normal. Which is sort of saying something, because Mystery Woman’s got legs for days, long and slender, visibly toned with long, lean muscle through her suit pants. At the faster clip, Vi has less time to admire her ass and tiny, tiny waist as she walks by, but that’s fine, because the view as she leaves is fantastic.

Caitlyn's route to work as a detective at the 51st Precinct takes her right by Fire Station #516, and Vi's been pining after the gorgeous Mystery Woman for six months...what will happen when she finds out that Caitlyn's a cop (AKA: The Enemy)?
