“They tried to make them fight the Younglings. Some kind of Jedi vs Mandalorian thing. I want to bring them home.”
“To Keldabe? You have lost your mind.”
“The Republic would use them for leverage. It could escalate to war– things have been way too tense for way too long.” Obi-Wan argued.
“Going to Mandalorian Space is suicide.”
“I would rather risk my life than see children used as political pawns or worse, as leverage in war.”
“They are the enemy, Obes. If they get their hands on you they would not be so gracious.”
“There are no enemy children in war. Just children.”
Quinlan knew there was no convincing Obi-Wan at this point. “Fine. But don’t come crying to me when things go wrong.”
They both knew Quinlan would be the first to aid Obi-Wan should things go wrong.

Nick turned back to the receptionist, that guileless smile of his firmly in place. Sean had himself fallen victim to that smile more than once; he knew that Nick would use it to his best advantage. “It’s my fault - I surprised him with a road trip here for our anniversary. I’d only planned as far as dinner, but…”

Or, while on the hunt for some renegade wesen, Nick and Sean fake a relationship. Only (surprise!) it turns out the feelings aren’t really all that fake.

Summary
Life is a journey of twist and turns. For everyone taken several were not, for Nick one of those happened on a dark night sometime in 1994 on the streets of new York. His parents barely survived only to be killed before him years later, with their killers face burned into his memory he vowed to take up his parents mission. To rid the world of the cursed coins of Zakynthos, even if it took his whole life to do so.
Years later in a dark corner of the Streets of Portland little would he know he’d find his destiny, throwing him into a long-standing war between a renegade bastard prince, a rag tag group of Wesen, humans Law Enforcement and the quickly dwindling royals of the seven houses. For now, is the time that together they’d make history or buried by it.
