They're lounging in Blitz's workshop in Valhalla, watching the dwarf and Hearth bent over a piece of glowing metal, a material Blitz is attempting to craft into a body armor. They fit magically as a team; Blitz understands Hearth wholly even without him having to sign it, and anyone can see Hearth trusts Blitz entirely. It's heart-warming to see.

MK began to wash the shampoo out of Red Son’s hair, using one hand to pour water out of the basin and the other to block the soap from slipping down into his eyes. It was a small act, but one that showed a careful attention to detail that MK rarely showed to anything at all. It was the sort of sweet gesture that told Red Son he was cared for by MK, that he was loved.
“Oh.” He whispered. “I’m hallucinating you.”

On the news, New York was rebuilding. Why couldn't they do the same?

“Exactly!” Mikey sighs, throwing himself over Casey, “I can’t go to sleep hungry! I’ll wake up with a stomach ache! I’m already weak!” Casey shifts and loosens Mikey from his back, which makes him perk up and wrap his arms around the younger kid’s head, “you can come too, Case’!”
“Sure I- Master, I can’t breathe- I’m down for anything.”
“Great! If only somebody would get up so we can go,” he drawls.
With a deep groan, Leo throws his legs over the side of his bed, “you’re paying.”
Or, Mikey is hungry, Leo is tired, and Casey is trying to make sense of this future he’s been forced into, all while sneaking out for gas station snacks.
