Connor catches Gavin's eye, looks at him steadily for a moment, tilts his head towards the car and gets in, and apparently that's that.
So he walks, Hank not far behind.

A collection of short stories all centered around different seasons. Each can be read as a stand-alone piece.
The first thing Connor comes to learn about summer is that it is universally romanticized. He’d done his research to prepare for the rising temperatures, or at least, he thinks to himself as he sprawls a little more loosely across Hank’s couch, he thought he’d done adequate research. It had taken the better part of one of his lunch breaks to download the several thousand forms of media that had been recommended to him by Simon and Markus. But, he thinks as he plucks at his sweat-slick shirt, dissatisfied with the way it sticks to his synthetic skin, there was no way his research could have prepared him for this.

They break apart slowly, both breathing heavy. Connor’s flushed, he can tell by the heat in his face, and color is climbing up Hank’s neck. Hank’s knuckles brush the skin of his cheek and Connor smiles softly, watching Hank’s face and leaning into his touch.
“The movie,” Connor murmurs.
“Seen it before,” Hank says, leaning closer.
“My tea.”
“I got a microwave.”
