Summary
Hugo’s always been known for his ability to work a crowd and slip through danger unscathed. His work with Donella taught him as much.
“If you ain’t gonna make it through with your brawn's, you gotta do it with your brains.” Is what he grew up listening to. He may not be the most talented with a sword, or the highest of ranks amongst the gang, but he always got due with his intelligence. That being said.. he never had to rely on anyone other than his own instincts. The mere thought was simply foreign of an idea to him.That is, until he’s bullied into infiltrating a small duo of misfits in favour of seeking out an ancient library that Donella had been obsessed with since she was a teen. Hugo’s not good with people, never worked with one person, let alone two or three. It’s a nightmare job, but Hugo won’t complain if it means he makes her proud and gets money in the process.

Almost twenty five years ago, the now current mayor of Corona used the Sundrop flower to save his wife and unborn daughter despite being warned against it. After no world ending calamity happened, Frederick dismissed the warnings as merely just folk tales.
Except the darkness did escape that day. She's just been waiting for the perfect time to strike.
Join a superheroine who's unaware of her own power, a former member from a vigilante group, two roommates trying to desperately not fall in love with each other along with several people trying to make sure they do as they all try to get away with the minimal amount of property destruction possible

Varian looks up and raises his goggles to glare at his boyfriend, who smiles back sheepishly.
“Er, sorry,” he says. “But! I’m mad at you!”
Varian rolls his eyes as Ruddiger drags over the dustpan they keep in the corner of the lab. Explosions and mishaps happen all the time, so it’s no surprise that Hugo is hardly deterred by the mess he’s caused.
“Oh really,” Varian deadpans, used to his boyfriend’s dramatics. “And what, pray tell, did I do this time?”
Hugo strides further into the room as Varian gathers up the shards of glass. “You didn’t tell me there’s a whole holiday for mothers!”
