… but he could not match the birthday to the troll to save his life….
Decades of Grey had so firmly isolated him from Pop Village – to the point he had not bothered to learn anyone’s name.

“Why me?” Loki asks, dropping his fork onto the plate. It was cherry pie this time. He likes key lime better.
“Why not you?” The man went for a second bite, having not tasted anything so good in a very very long time.
“Don't mess with me, Timely. Why me.”
“Because it could be no one else, of course.”

Loki takes a few detours sometimes, when the continuous failures get to him. He Who Remains just so happens to be the only person he can talk to that can understand a fragment of what's really going on.

As it was, Don was infamous in his friends’ circles for his lack of a brain-to-mouth filter. Therefore, it didn’t come as a surprise to him when he just gave in, and verbalised the one doubt that had been making rounds in his head since the moment he had talked to Loki. “Are we dating?”
It was only logical to deduce that. And Don couldn’t believe this God-like person had been interested in him enough to agree to date him.

Being only a curious toddler, Loki decided to cast this spell without much thought, never truly worrying about the consequences of it be coming undone. Until that happened.
What was this spell? It made him appear like an adult to all, warping the minds of anyone who heard his name into thinking the raven haired little boy was a grown man. Now the Odinson house is faced with the fact that Loki Liesmith is but a child, things are bound to get hectic.

Summary
Loki's plans to drop Odin in a home for the elderly unfortunately get interrupted by Thor. During the ensuing fight, a magical artifact gets broken that wipes out Thor's memory of the past 300 years. Confused and disoriented, Thor battles the arriving Avengers and threatens to slaughter innocent mortals to the dozens as well. But Loki, afraid of alerting Heimdall to what was happening, persuades Thor to go with the Avengers peacefully. Thor agrees, but he naturally assumes that Loki would be part of the group as well, because -of course- Loki would always follow where Thor went, right?
So now the Avengers and Loki are stuck pretending Loki is also part of the group until Thor’s memories return. A totally simple plan with zero chance of anything going wrong. Really. Well, at least that's what Loki's trying to tell himself.

He knows so much about Loki and so little at the same time, the important things tucked away where the only person who will find them is himself. “You… What do you like to do? For fun?”
He can’t see Loki’s judgemental expression, but he feels it all the same. “Fun?”"
AKA: After nearly getting killed while trying to get supplies for the Statesmen, Loki and Bruce are stuck together, injured and half delirious.
