John comes home early to surprise Sam on his 18th birthday and finds out something he never would have guessed and confronts the boys. Things don't go well and now there's blood on the floor and John has no one left.

It didn’t really make a difference when it began anymore because the damage was done. John took another drink and closed his eyes to the blood on the floor and the sight of his bruised knuckles staring back at him as he lifted the bottle. Maybe he deserved this for the way he’d made them live all these years, for what he’d done tonight. Maybe this was all his fault, but could anyone blame him for his reaction? Seeing his two sons scrambling for their clothes as they tried to say it wasn’t what it looked like as the bottle of lube sat right there on the bed, mocking them all with the sent of sex still hanging in the air had nearly broken John’s mind. And maybe if Sam hadn’t opened his mouth…. If he hadn’t taunted John… Maybe.
