Summary
Will has been kept hidden by his guardian Henry for as long as he can properly remember. And he trusts him to know what's best for him, but Mike, a curiously attentive boy from the nearby village, has invited him to the Royal Art Festival and Will's aching to go and experience life on his own.

"So, you wanna watch a movie tonight? The ambience is perfect for it." Will asks timidly, breaking the silence.
Mike grunts but doesn't respond. Will is putting his things down and now he feels even worse. He scoffs and sighs in annoyance, dropping his sketchbook down onto his desk and muttering a 'tsk' in disappointment.
"What?" Mike snaps irritably.
Will decides that it's better to speak.
Or: Will and Mike are best friends and college roommates in the fall of 1989, but they've been anything but close. Mike's acting distant again and Will is getting fed up. He knows that eventually he won't be able to contain his emotions, but will Mike be able to have that conversation?
And: They argue about feelings and it leads to the surfacing of some secrets that have been hidden for too long and they hook up lol.P.S. There is no major character death or trigger warnings but the story does take place after the canon events in Hawkins season 5, so unfortunately Jane is gone. Max and Will are besties, Will has flashbacks about Jane, all that good stuff I hope you enjoy :)
