Summary
In the seven years since the cliff fall, Will and Hannibal have settled into a happy life together, but things have not gone so well for the alternate versions of themselves.
Within the novel timeline, seven years have passed since Graham was disfigured by Dolarhyde's knife. Graham has sunken into isolation and despair, while Lecter remains imprisoned at the BSHCI.
Early one morning, the two versions of Will Graham awaken to find that they have swapped universes.

Summary
Please read the tags.
In this AU, Will takes Mischa's place as Hannibal's younger brother. They are biologically related, Hannibal helps raise him, and they eventually fall in love as consenting adults. If sibling incest, age gaps, or caregiver/family dynamics are a dealbreaker for you, this fic is probably not your cup of tea.
To be clear: there is no underage or non-consensual sexual content. Their feelings do not become romantic or sexual until Will is an adult.
Hannibal is still Hannibal, but Mischa lives... so a less traumatized Hannibal. Will is still Will, but he grows up in Europe under Hannibal's care, not in the Bible Belt. Instead, there is the war... so a differently traumatized Will.
The story is loosely set in the early 2000s to present time, more atmosphere than strict historical accuracy. Some things are anachronistic. -

He is decidedly, understandably, hesitant to eat it.

Summary
The water’s cold.
Despite it all, it doesn’t hurt.
He feels the air rush through his hair, the drips of blood peel away from his mouth. He feels the momentum of the lean, the warm hands against his torso. He feels the sensation of his skin cracking against the top of the water, the surface tension breaking, the burst of blood cells on impact. It isn’t where the pain’s coming from.
For physical pain is something Hannibal Lecter can withstand, but heartbreak is something he cannot bear.
...
When Hannibal Lecter crashes into the water, he finds himself back in Jack Crawford's office on the first day he met Will Graham. This time, he decides to do things differently.
