Merlin reaches out for Arthur to come stand between his legs. When he does, Merlin settles his hands on the small of his back, runs his thumb over his hip bone, looks up at him. He can’t tell what Arthur’s expression means; his face is clouded over like he’s still thinking hard about this.
“What’s happening in your head,” he asks.
Instead of answering, Arthur tips his chin up and kisses him.
