Summary
The Lady's anger, once incurred, cannot be placated, as Tavir knows from horrible, intimate, experience. The waiting is the easy part. Unfortunately, the waiting eventually comes to an end.

Summary
The fifth instalment in the Incubator ʻverse - you may want to read the first four parts of the series (or reread them) to understand whatʻs going on here. Briefly: Earth has been conquered by an alien species of giant insects, who have discovered that humans make the perfect incubators to hatch and nurture their young. After the young have hatched, they need nutrients before they pupate.
Two of the maggots found what they were looking for and clamped those round mouthparts firmly on his nipples – not the far less sensitive areolae, but the actual peaked dripping nipples – and the squeezing and the hanging weight of the larvae made him shake, trying to dislodge them.

Summary
The fourth instalment in the Incubator ʻverse - you may want to read the first three parts of the series (or reread them) to understand whatʻs going on here. Briefly: Earth has been conquered by an alien species of giant insects, who have discovered that humans make the perfect incubators to hatch and nurture their young. While an incubator is not being used by the nest's primary inhabitants, the cleaner beetles also need somewhere to lay their eggs.
A green cleaner beetle hummed around the ceiling, sucking up waste fluid that leaked from one incubator there before moving off, attracted to the newly empty incubator by its scent. The beetle was heavy with eggs that needed to be laid and it landed over the incubator, fluttering its wings mostly back under the iridescent wing-case as it waved its mandibles happily, tasting the air over the incubator.

Summary
The third instalment in the Incubator ʻverse - you may want to read the first two parts of the series (or reread them) to understand whatʻs going on here. Briefly: Earth has been conquered by an alien species of giant insects, who have discovered that humans make the perfect incubators to hatch and nurture their young. They want to fine-tune their nutritional products to produce the maximum amount possible.
Each incubator was webbed to the wall, forelimbs above its head and its rear limbs spread apart as if for breeding. Each had a pump on both of its thoracic swellings, steadily extracting the honey-fluid, and each had a feeding tube in its mouth, webbed there securely, as every other incubator in the nest had. Each had a pump over its mating appendage, connected to a cylindrical collection container that was webbed to the wall next to the incubator's head. The collection containers were as high as the incubator's forelimbs were long, and as wide as their thoraxes, quite big enough to store every drop of salt-fluid produced during the course of the six-moon experiment.
