Mumbo was not having a good day. Not necessarily because everything was going wrong, everything was actually going oddly right. He just had a bunch of...question, yeah question seems right, and it werent the normal questions like 'what should I do on my base?' or 'what should my next redstone project be?' He always though there was something different about Jimmy, other than him being obsessed with being safe, but he just didnt know what. He also didnt know much about him, he knew thay basic like that hes the safety rat (shocker), his name is jimmy, his favorite color is red, favorite flower is poppy, and hes always wearing his bright safety vest, but other than that? Nothing. So when he wondering the halls of the house they've basically taken over, he really doesn't expect to see Jimmy, in a hole, looking on the verge of a breakdown.

“Isn’t that lonely?” Max had asked early on in their friendship, after Lucas and Dustin had offhandedly mentioned his aversion to affection. Mike couldn’t even be mad at them for having brought it up. It wasn’t typically a topic they avoided; it was simply a given. A rule. Mike was to be left out of group hugs and celebratory pats on the shoulder. To Max, however, it seemed to be a mystery.
Mike hadn’t really thought of it as lonely. He never saw hugs as something he was missing out on. He didn’t crave them like Will seemed to. He simply did not care.
At least, he usually didn’t.
