Summary
Max was so tired, yet she felt unable to close her eyes, still feeling knocked out by Chloe’s presence. How was she even here? The theory about Safi had quickly been dismissed in Max’s mind: the woman could take one’s appearance but not their personality, and Max knew it was her Chloe sleeping in the bed next to her. She didn’t seem to be a hallucination either: Max had had hallucinations due to her powers in the past, and never had they felt so real and accurate. So no, Chloe couldn’t be an illusion.
“You gonna sit there all night?” Chloe’s sleep-addled voice broke the silence all of a sudden, making Max jump.
“Jesus, Chloe, you scared me,” she sighed, hand resting against her racing heart, willing for it to calm down. “I’m just… resting my legs. It’s been a strange, long day.”
There was a silence, before Chloe spoke up again. “Cut the shit and get over here. I’m not letting you sleep in your damn staircase.”
Or: Chloe crashes at Max's place in Vermont, and Max can't believe she’s here. After all, she hasn't seen the woman in eleven years.

Summary
They continued to scroll down for a bit, laughing at the content, and then, right before Byul was about to suggest they go to sleep, a picture popped that made her pause, Yongsun stilling next to her.
It was a closeup of Byul and Yongsun during the concert. Byul was singing -she remembered it to be during Promise U- microphone in her hand, while the other one was around Yongsun’s neck. And Yongsun. Yongsun had a hand on Byul’s chest, standing close, with an expression that Byul was only used to see in private. Yongsun’s stare held all her love and care for the younger woman, adding to a soft smile that made Byul’s heart yearn for more.
Or: Byul and Yongsun come back from their first day of fanconcert in Japan.

For a long time they just kneel there in the sand, falling into each other, soaking each other’s shirts with tears and snot and all sorts of other goopy shit. Max smells like a lightning storm but she also smells like Max, and she’s using that same fruity-ass shampoo that made their bathroom in Seattle stink like a Bath & Body Works circa 2004.
Chloe’s about to say something to that effect, but stops herself, because bitching about shampoo is the most absolutely insane way to greet your long-lost best friend/partner in time/one true love, even by Chloe Price standards.
