    On the quest to defeat Gaea, when Percy and Annabeth encounter the pit, Percy is able to save Annabeth from the pits of hell, however, he is unable to save himself. Now Percy is falling, into the depths of Tartarus, alone. Will he be able to get to the doors of death? He must get back to Annabeth. Back to the seven. But if he makes it back, will he be the same?
