When Jaskier finds out one of Geralt's kinks, he's delighted with how well it lines up with his own. And so, Jaskier gets a puppy, and discovers that his puppy doesn't like it when he plays with others - that is, until they go up to Kaer Morhen, and Geralt learns that he can be both Jaskier's puppy and part of the pack.

When he left the Royal Navy following an incident that left his face scarred for the world to see, Eskel thought he knew exactly who he was and what he deserved. Oil rig work paid well enough, no one asked awkward questions, and the two people he'd learnt to trust came with him, as both friends and lovers.
When the live music act in a bar offers to blow him in a seedy underpass, Eskel doesn't know what to think... which becomes sort of a pattern with the blue-eyed singer who says his name is Julian.

Jaskier got used to letting his true form out a little more while he isn't travelling with Geralt. When he gets his apology, he finds himself unwilling to continue telling Geralt a lie. Eventually, Geralt wants to share this with the rest of his pack.

Summary
The first time Geralt makes an offhand comment about the gentry, Jaskier flinches a little, but tries not to otherwise react. They’re not close enough to a mound that it will be an issue, Geralt’s not the sort to summon the fae, but it still sends a spike of panic through him, and he wards the campsite harder than usual after Geralt goes to sleep, and sits up through the night, waiting for the dawn, when he can take down the wards and spend half an hour in the stream, scrubbing the scent of magic from his skin.
