Summary
Nearly four years have passed since the world ended for a second time. For a second time the unwritten rules have been rewritten, a delicate balance now struck between capes and mundanes. A stalemate forged between the shards and humanity, the cycle giving way to something terrifyingly new.
But there are growing cracks in the new peace, in the new order as humanity delves ever deeper into the secrets of powers. Political struggles rise to new heights, the contradictions of the old and the new sharpening into struggle and war across the Earths.
Those cracks open doors never meant to be open, and an administrator of the highest order rejoins the great game. It chooses a host that should never have been an option, and a new player enters the game. She's forced to play a role in a struggle that spans worlds, her fate, her doom tied to her choices, to a power with vast, unknowable potential. She doesn't know what the future holds, doesn't know what choices she needs to make, but does know one thing.
The old world is dying, and the new world is struggling to be born; now is the time of monsters.

Synopsis:
I took my chance. Given the choice to either provide some semblance of hope to a reality practically designed to kill it or remain powerless in an increasingly dystopian world, I went with the former.
Now, let's see how much damage a well-intentioned but deeply flawed individual can inflict on a story he knows less about than he initially thought.
Or:Originally named "Good Intentions and All That," this fic deals with someone who desperately wanted to make a difference in the world, even if it's not his original world. Unfortunately, everything he knows about the Parahuman series comes from fan fiction. As you can imagine, the consequences of his misconceptions and assumptions will be a major driving force of this story. Fortunately, he actually does know how to fight, but that's about it.
