“Go on,” Kessler tells him, the silhouette of his head jerking backwards with a laugh. “Get back to it. Man’s got needs, doesn't he?”
It’s a trap, the part of Billy’s brain that’s been suppressed by pleasure until now shouts. Billy’s other fist clenches around the knife strapped under his trousers. Kessler’s testing him, prodding him for weakness. Interrogating him.
“Answer me, son: a man’s got his needs, doesn’t he?”
Billy’s reply is automatic. “Yes,” he grunts, swallowing. “Man’s got needs.”
“Yes…?”
