Summary

What starts as a curious present becomes an attempt to crack open a case...and later, an object of sentiment for a smitten prosecutor. Both lawyers work in tandem to uncover the secrets that underlie it all, drawing them closer to the heart of the mystery—and to each other.

Miles Edgeworth was not one to get distracted. Except when he sat in the library, staring out the window to see that man who ruined it all. Painting in the gardens, looking ever so beautiful, how could Miles not stare? Stare at his supposed childhood friend who was now ignoring him for whatever reason?
Miles wasn’t hurt—frankly, he didn’t care! It wasn’t like he wanted to reconnect either, he was simply… curious. Yes, curiously watching from the library window for a hideous pink sweater and a pair of heterochromatic eyes that weren’t supposed to be looking back at him.
Wait, what?
A ‘leave me alone’ or a ‘I know you like me’ would've done him in. He was ready.
“I want to teach you how to paint.”
That, he was not ready for.
or, Miles agrees to let Phoenix teach him how to paint, and he un(fortunately) gets more than he signed up for. Everything is fine.
