    Summary

Cody has had enough of idiotic nat-born officers who are nothing more than a bunch of whiny morons. And that includes his Jedi General, Qui-Gon Jinn.

Jinn, who has a bad habit of stating he "follows the will of the Force" instead of following the will of the Senate and Council. And honestly, Cody wouldn't mind if following the will of the Force included filling out a requisition form every once in awhile.

But, Cody can handle it. He can adapt to it. He can deal with Qui-Gon Jinn disappearing without a word. He can deal with Tarkin being an asshole. He can deal with it all. And he has been dealing with it all for the past month.

That is, until another wrench is thrown into his carefully constructed battle plans. A wrench that goes by the name Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jinn's padawan is everything Cody hates and more. He doesn't listen. He goes off on his own. And he seems to expect special treatment just because he's a Jedi who killed a sith.

Well, Cody's not going to let him win. He is not going to let Obi-Wan Kenobi use him like all the other nat-born officers use him. And no! He does not think Kenobi is nice to look at. Not one bit. So quit asking.

    Summary

“I’ve covered every inch of the Underworld by now,” Zagreus says. “So, if there’s someone you’re looking for, I can probably help.”

Cody smiles at him again—an awful, pained smile that cuts like the wings of a soul catcher’s butterflies—and says, “Thanks. But if I haven’t found him yet, it’s because he doesn’t want to be found.”

Or: Zagreus finds another lost soul in Elysium, and he does what he does best.

    Summary

Tatooine is an absolute dump of a planet.

It's truly no wonder that it's a criminal and slave trader's paradise. No-one else would settle on a planet so far away from what anyone would call civilization, with infertile ground, unbearable heat and all that kriffing sand.

No-one else, except for a kid that offers Din an awkward flirty grin and a drink. A kid that shines as bright as the twin suns burning bright in the sky.

     Dank farrik.

    Summary

It is, against all odds, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Older. More jaded. Poisoned by grief and loss. But still, invariably, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

He removes his hand from the back of Obi-Wan’s head and pushes down the scarf covering the lower half of his face, letting it hang around his neck, before pushing up his goggles.

Obi-Wan’s face slackens with surprise as he looks at him. His eyes trace the scar around his eyes, the new lines on his face, the length of his hair and the grey crowding his temples. They lock against his own after his assessment, and his voice sounds soft as a caress when he says, “Cody.”

    Summary

“We need to agree to some ground rules. How this is all going to work.”
“Are you going to bill me for drawing up the contract?” Din needles,
“No. We can't have any evidence of… this.” Luke levels a look at him. “You know we're going to have to lie to everyone, right? I don't want to get caught up trying to remember who knows the truth and who doesn't. Can you do that?”
“Can you?” Din counters, “-your sister won't be able to tell?”
“...she has her hands full with my nephew,” Luke says,
    Din snorts.
    “What?”
“Are you prepared for everyone at the office thinking we're together?”
“Why is that funny? This was your idea!"
“I know, I'm fine with it." Din says "-Just looking forward to you getting read the riot act by Kenobi, that's all.”

    -
Because the Universe thinks it's funny, Luke and his colleague, Mando, are both going to the same wedding. And because the Universe has decided it's pursuing a career in comedy, they both have their own reasons for needing a date to it.
The most logical course of action, obviously, is that they pretend to be dating and attend together.
Luke has a great feeling about this.
