Jungkook watches the man, the First Monarch of his nation, deliver the words he'd wanted to hear more than anything. The TV crackles with the deafening silence on the palace's plaza.

It took time seeing past the self pity, the anger Jungkook felt - the constant need to call them and scream at them until they understood how they broke him. How they shattered him and left him on the floor with his chest open and heart bleeding for them.
