Summary
Izuku has plans for everything.
He plans out what to say to the cashier when ordering coffee, he plans out his homework before even opening his textbook. He has a whole ten-year plan for how he’s going to get into UA’s hero course and get his hero license fully quirkless. He plans for every wild, unlikely scenario he can think of because his anxiety gets so bad if he doesn’t go through every possible outcome, every way his life could landslide into disaster–– but Izuku never planned for this.
For once, he doesn’t have a plan and he doesn’t have time to think of one. All he can see is Yagi-san’s lined, kind face looking resigned as he stares down the villain in his shop. Yagi-san, who is the closest thing to a father figure Izuku has ever had.
Izuku doesn’t think. He just moves.
(Or: Izuku saves the number one hero, gets a hero license way earlier than anyone wanted, realizes that maybe hero society isn’t as great as he thought it was, and everything just kind of falls apart from there.)

Summary
After the end of the War, Yuga Aoyama departs UA to study in Europe, leaving his former classmates behind and making his own path as a hero as he tries to outrun the lasting guilt of a year’s worth of betrayal. All the while, his classmates never forgot about the brightness within him. For Toru Hagakure, her memories were even sweeter of the only boy who ever made her feel truly seen. At her insistence, he eventually returns to Japan after she opens her own agency and hires him on as a sidekick.
Yet as the years pass, he stays in that role, following in her invisible footsteps as the weight of his shameful past holds him back, while Hagakure, puzzled, watches as Aoyama seemingly pushes away every effort on her part to try and make him her equal. When the former students of Class 1-A reunite to celebrate their old classmate’s success in the hero rankings, neither Hagakure nor Aoyama can dodge the issue any longer.
