Heat stirred in Scarecrow's gut at the tone in Sazantos' voice, and he immediately looked up from where his hands were plucking feathers at a desk.
Sazantos was wearing only a tunic, his hair loose and trailing down his shoulders, and the look in his eyes as he gazed down at Scarecrow was dark and heated. Lifting a hand to grip Scarecrow's chin, Sazantos made certain Scarecrow could only look at him as he leaned in close and declared, "I want you."

Summary
Scarecrow's earliest memory was of being scooped into his mother's arms, her voice harsh with worry as she scolded him to not play with fire. He ignored her, squirming and reaching for the fireplace where a lovely orange flame crackled, but she held onto him firmly.
Scarecrow reflects on his relationship with fire, and with Sazantos.

"I need- I don't- but I-" Zero's stuttered breaths were warm against Sazantos' skin where Zero still had his head hidden against Sazantos' neck.
The small part of Sazantos' mind that was thinking clearly said he should leave, that this was a breach of boundaries, that Zero could take care of himself. But that part was drowned out by the sound of Zero's cries as his hips messily thrusted into the air in search of friction.
Zero cluelessly begins to present as an alpha at a late age, which makes the ordeal more complicated than normal.
Sazantos.... well, 'helps' is certainly a word for it. Yet he seems to be the one experiencing the most consequences.

Go to sleep in the blue flame's light…”Sazantos’ heart seized painfully in his chest with emotions he couldn’t name. He wanted to forcefully shove Zero away, make her singing stop.
At the same time he wanted to clutch at her, cling and bring her closer, as if that could let him absorb her song, so it could better soothe whatever flared inside him.
