because they haven’t done this before. totally not. not when melissa was going through her divorce, fuming cause of joe and barbara loved to see her like that, sharp-edged. not when they ended up inside barbara’s class bathroom and melissa whispered how much she wanted to destroy that man, how mad she was, how she needed to get her mind off of things as her fingers furiously pumped into barbara’s wetness. they didn’t talk about it after, they didn’t kiss, so it didn’t count. not when barbara came to melissa’s place on a sunday instead of going home because she was fuming over some argument with a lady at church and melissa simply couldn’t keep her hands to herself. not when barbara, fully clothed, ate her out frivolously and made her see stars as melissa splayed almost naked on the bed. the feeling of barbara’s ring burned against her thigh, driving her closer to oblivion. and they didn’t talk about it, they didn’t kiss, so it very much didn’t count.
