Summary
Six months have gone by since Chris left for El Paso. Eddie hasn't been able to talk to his son without his parents interfering with their reconciliation. Buck, now dating Eddie, has to fight against his sister and Chimney's constant interference in his life, romantic and career-wise, needing to find a way to stop them from bringing in his parents to cause trouble for the new couple. Tommy, having lost someone he had feelings for and never got a chance to act on, was with his friends when something amazing happened. Now, back in the past, they all have something that they want to correct.

Buck is no stranger to being alone. He spent years fending for himself after leaving the house he grew up in, and even the years before that, he didn’t really have anyone.
He thought he had found a family with the 118. He had a captain he came to see as a father, found a mother in Athena and a wider family from his coworkers and theirs. Buck even thought he might have a chance at something more with the man who was his best friend and his son. He should have known better.-+-
A post-lawsuit fic (kind of) where Buck leaves and never really had any intention of coming back. The universe has different plans for him though.
