“Will you come home with us tonight, Becca?” Henry’s eyes are lit up as he asks the simple question that throws her for a complete loop. This is not the ‘favorite Christmas song to listen to, favorite to sing?’ or ‘which Christmas movie universe would you want to live in?’ of earlier in the week. Summary
Charles Bingley takes residence of Netherfield Park for one reason: to give his friend Darcy a peaceful sanctuary after a brutal year. After Wickham’s scheme was revealed, Georgiana’s attempted suicide left her crippled and catatonic. Darcy, blaming himself, fell into self-destructive despair that even his closest friend could not break through. It is only when Darcy is alone in the countryside near Meryton that he finds a reason to hope: a beautiful young woman, walking alone, who he deliriously thinks is an angel.
