I Fucking loved this.
Okay, so my original interpretation was that this was based off a very specific Tumblr post that basically went along the lines "Novel where an immortal falls in love with someone over and over again as they get reincarnated" which I was considering expanding on, before finding this, and, I really, really don't think anything I could ever write would compare to this. This story is one of love, heartbreak, overwhelming angst and very, very gay boys. Don't think I didn't notice Deanias of Greece banging some Cas-lookalike in those early chapters. This was beautiful, every single moment, it progressed a comprehensive storyline while maintaining Spn-accurate personalities AND giving it its own life! I absolutely ADORE how it started so early, in fucking ancient greece olympics AND THE FUCKING WRITING STYLE!!!!! Dude I could fucking feel the era difference, I'm going to be using the phrase "Well met" in my daily life now, because this author has to be some sort of history buff. I loved reading and learning about the culture back then, and while i was mildly surprised by how easy everyone seemed about sex, I adored understanding that homophobia is purely a human construct, and not even a useful one to boot. It was so interesting reading the jump from there to the persian war and Gabriel giving kick ass sex and also battle plans, I'm smiling remembering it.
And then the jump to a more modern era and the pressure of properness that gave Sam reason to be so scared, AND Jess being a slightly recurring character and just making her so sweet, I loved that so much, Jess is awesome
Disregarding that, while the Fem!Sam tag threw me off, when I finally got to that part, I actually really enjoyed reading it, it wasn't pushy, nor focused on the fact that she was a girl, or that that was even a //thing// in the first place, it genuinely felt like they were just two characters falling in love and if all straight ships were like this I think I'd actually enjoy reading about them way more often, as well as Samantha being a rape victim, and how that translated in her boundaries and Gabriel's paitence with her, however grudingly at first, this part in itself was very enjoyable to read, I loved everything about it, especially the sad, sad ending
Now, disregarding all of that, the transitions between parts, while just at the start and end of each, they really tied together the storyline and how each of these connect to what the story is trying to explore, or change, or showcase, and it was fucking terrible at some parts, not in a skill way but in it was so hard to read because how could you DO that to my baby???(kidding), the angst, my god, and THE ENDING>???? Jesus christ! Literally!
Anyway my favorite part about this, in entirety, is when Gabriel is in Heaven watching the souls get sorted and right before Lucifer is banished, and the thought process leading to his leaving, I loved this part because I just adore angel politics, the way they seem so untouchable but still petty in such a human way, it really makes you understand that while these creatures are older than time itself, they still fall prey to things as simple as family drama, which is what I consider the first five seasons of Supernatural anyway
I just absolutely adore everything about this fic, I admit I found reading Third Person Omniscient hard to read at first, but I do think it was the better choice for how the story was written out, and there isn't a damn thing about this fic that I would change if I had the power except for maybe the singular typo I noticed, but thats neither here nor thereAuthor, you have created a masterpeice, potential readers, this is worth your time, recurring readers, come back and show your thanks, and everyone, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did

EXPAND LATER IM SO SLEEPY!!!!!! Okay, okay, okay so this is fucking gorgeous. I'm. I'm like tearing up. That's what's happening. IM CRYING. God, okay, this was so. So so so good. I just love the alternating snippets it's so perfect, it's easily digestible and while I had trouble keeping up(pretty sure that's mostly because I kept accidentally skipping sentences, but unrelated) it was paced so well, and I genuinely enjoyed every single part about this. Jason, the other Jason, him being resigned to his fate in arkham at first, before accusing Tim of copying him again but mostly out of bewilderment, and the stress of an arkham breakout while ur murderer runs free or whatever, basically everything fuckint about that was so good. Gave me all the dopamine.
I also really liked Dick---in him asking Tim to stay, but letting him go anyway, the note, Jason finding where he fits in life. GOD IM TEARING UP AGAIN I JUST STOPPED, okay, okay this is just. Too good. Cryiny -

Okay, okay, okay, so, this was absolutely beautiful. A work of art. Literally. I absolutely adore every aspect of this story, from character dynamics to the overall plot, and even the subplot behind it with the Violet stuff, i think it blends in together SO well, and I LOVEEEE Talia!!!! Talia being an actually okay parent, IS GREAT. Even though we didn't see a lot of her here, her presence still ties quite a few loose ends!!!! Although I think the entire thing with the Lazarus pit has been played down quite a number, I do think it was rightfully cut out, because with this specific plot and the dynamics im assuming were achieved, the lazarus pit rage and everything else that comes with that would have dismantled the story entirely, and DC stands for Disregard Canon, anyway, so everythings SO PERFECT!!!! Ahhh Stephanie Brown, my beloved. Also, at the end, DAMIANNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!! Even though hes only referenced three times(Including in the notes), Hes at least my third favorite character here, I just love this so much!!!!!!!! <3333 -

Too sleepy to actually say anything here but I genuinely loved reading this!!!! Ohhhh the characterization---the fights, the gorgeous plot even though it didn't even feel like that long! SOOOOO GOOD!!!! Just loved this so much, Clark being genuinely hurt and Bruce not knowing how to deal with it is actually peak, I'm a bias source to Canon characterization but this was still a work of goddamn ART!!!

I ALMOST CRIED. I STILL MIGHT. Okay. This is bloody awesome bro. I fucking love this fic, its gorgeous, its complete, its SATISFYING, it covers all angles, with the angst, the fluff, the Tim being a dumbass, the slowburn that BURNED with Jason and Tim's brotherhood, it didn't feel forced, it felt completely natural and I LIVE FOR IT! Ohhh god, Tim being a dumbass is my favorite brand of him, being an idiot and immediately jumping to every single conclusion that forces him out of the picture because he just cant understand why someone would want him. The summary kind of insinuated that more hallucinations would be present, which was only mildly disappointing when less comedy or angst came out of it, but I still think this is executed perfectly for what it wanted to achieve! Author, kudos to you <3

THIS WAS SO BLOODY ADORABLE BRO IM GOING TO CRASHOUT
I FUCKING LOVE THIS!!!! Ohmygod, okay, where do i start, so I think its ADORABLE that Tim found and *kept* the damn radio, and its an amazing little tidbit that its a Bat owned radio, and that Jason had immediate access and was able to make it so only those two could contact eachother, but I do kind of wish they dived in a bit deeper on how exclusive it really was, but its still PERFECT how it is!!! Next, this was literally so adorable i want to crush it with hugs and blend it into a fine powder and fucking snort it. I think it would have been cute if they included a few more instances of Tim using the radio to talk to Jay before the attack, or even just a few more after Jay's death in general, maybe to enhance the insanity or codependency, but I STILL THINK THIS WAS LITERALLY SO GOOD!!! Even without that, or any other light or heavy criticism, this was genuinely executed so well!!!!

I absolutely LOVE the characterization---you can vividly picture the grief, the fact that Tim's absolutely done with it all, that Jason's so so so incredibly confused, and also very, so much, very very, concerned. I LOVE that the author elaborated on the plan with examples to express the importance of each descision while also making it incredibly easy to just start and not let it feel like you're missing context, all while painting a bigger picture. I kind of wish I got a description of Dick's face afterwards, or maybe a snippet of Tim in therapy, but I'm absolutely satisfied with how it ended, and its perfect as is <33333

"'Hurt him'?" he asks in reflexive confusion, and then realizes how batting a teenager around like a person-shaped cat toy and pinning him to the street hard enough to crack it probably actually looks to an outside observer.
. . . um.
Whoops.
"Um," he starts awkwardly, and then the kid slips his pin while he's distracted and throws his arms around his neck with a gleeful laugh and a bright grin.
"Dad!" he crows triumphantly, and hugs Clark harder than literally anyone has ever hugged him before.
