Summary
When Furiosa is asked by a fellow barista to trade shifts at Citadel Café where they both work, she ends up working during the coffeeshop’s monthly Open Mic Night. The event turns out to be a strange mish-mash of performances, ranging from decent to good to funny to downright embarrassingly bad. And that’s not even counting all the awkward moments Furiosa has to endure while working in close proximity with Jack, the coffeeshop’s owner and manager – and her boss, whom she definitely doesn’t have a crush on, thank you very much…

Jack’s eyebrows rise in surprise. He hadn't heard a thing, sleeping on the couch less than ten feet away from the kitchen. “You did?”

Furiosa arrives at Jack’s apartment on Valentine’s Day evening, all dolled up and ready to head out for their date together - only to find Jack passed out on the couch in the living room, dead to the world. She knows he’d had a rough day today, what with Citadel Café being vandalized, and she doesn’t have the heart to wake him up, even if it costs them their restaurant reservation.
So instead, Furiosa decides to cook Jack dinner herself.

Summary
Things have been going well for Jack and Furiosa since February – on the surface, at least. But the more time passes, the more the feeling that they’ve just been coasting along creeps up on Jack. They’ve been together for close to a year now, but if Jack really thinks about it, he’s barely scratched the surface of who Furiosa is, where she comes from, and how she became the tough, independent woman he’s pretty sure he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Basically, Jack wants to fang it, but Furiosa is constantly putting on the brakes.
When something happens which finally forces Furiosa to let Jack in and share her story with him, Jack wants nothing more than to be her rock in the storm. But will she let him?

Summary
Citadel Café ☕ is a FuryJack Modern AU series that I've been writing for more than a year now. In that time a lot of... shall we say, 'side quest' stories have popped into in my head. Not every idea makes it into the main Citadel Café installments, but some are too good to pass up so I end up writing them anyway.
This companion series is the place for these smaller fics, so that the main series doesn't get too cluttered. Because the little moments are just as important as the big stories, and deserve their time in the spotlight too 💕

Summary
Jack is the owner and manager of a little coffeeshop in Brooklyn, New York called Citadel Café. Furiosa is an engineering student who needs a part-time job, and ends up working as a barista at Citadel. Neither of them expected to fall in love over lattes and annoying customers, but, well, that's life for you.
The series is a Modern AU which is roughly 50% smut, 30% fluff and intimacy, and 20% angst, drama, action and comedy. Many of the characters from Fury Road and Furiosa appear in the series, as well as multiple movie lines and references. As the tag says, find them all and get a free cup of coffee at Citadel Café!
I have a tentative outline for 10 installments, so make sure to stamp your loyalty card each time you read 😉☕
*The series was written somewhat out of sequence at first, but I've done my best to retcon things so that it reads as seamlessly as possible and there are no glaring plot holes. (If you do spot any, please lmk!!)

Athos wants to tell Porthos that he thinks his face is cleft in half (can he not see that it is?!) and that the world is not holding still long enough for him to even lift his head. But just the thought of opening his mouth, of forming words is enough to make him want to throw up again, so he just stays where he is, swaying on hands and knees, head bowed, blood dripping from his beard, and he moans some more.
- 2019-05-25: Epilogue went up today. Which means that this story is now complete. It’s been quite the journey. -

Summary
Athos has taken on worse films in his career, he must have, but he can't think of any offhand. If it weren't for his friends, he'd never have signed up. The director before him was fired, they're weeks behind schedule, the star actor is a nightmare, the atmosphere on set is terrible, and worst of all, the new lead actress is his ex-wife. Who he's still madly in love with.
If nothing else, he supposes, at least it will definitely be a job to remember.
